Pinoy lawyer files "class suit" to protest result of Pacquiao-Bradley fight; Sends seven-page complaint to Nevada attorney general

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Atty. Romulo Macalintal-a Filipino lawyer who described himself as a United States tourist visa holder-has filed a seven-page complaint addressed to Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto the Nevada Attorney General pointing out the much-disputed decision in the match between Pinoy boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and American Timothy Bradley.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Atty. Romulo Macalintal-a Filipino lawyer who described himself as a United States tourist visa holder-has filed a seven-page complaint addressed to Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto questioning the much-disputed decision in the match between Pinoy boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and American Timothy Bradley. Macalintal revealed that he had gone to the U.S. to watch the fight.

 

The report quoted Macalintal, who said he filed the complaint "as a boxing fan or enthusiast whose right to a fair and credible verdict in any sporting event, like the millions of boxing fans and enthusiasts, is entitled to the protection by the state where the said event is held." The report noted that Macalintal’s letter was mailed last June 16. The attorney general's office is expected to receive the complaint by June 18. The report also pointed out that Macalintal, in an email to reporters, indicated that he "has not informed Pacquiao of his intentions."
