Agence France-Press, via ABS-CBNnews.com, reports that a musical show in North Korea featured several trademarked characters like Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh without authorization from the Walt Disney company. Among its audience was North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un accompanied by an unidentified woman.

"The Walt Disney Company did not license or authorize the use of its characters," said a spokersperson. According to the report, the show, which also featured scenes from Dumbo and Snow White, was unusual for uncharacteristically using cartoon characters from the United States, who once labeled North Korea as part of the "Axis of Evil".

Since his father’s death in December 2011, Kim Jong-Un has continued the development nuclear weapons. Pyongyang’s official position has been to ready itself with atomic weapons as a means of defense against US nuclear threat. However, it may scrap its arsenal should a negotiation be reached.
