PHOTOS: Flooded Manila
A few snapshots of Manila at the height of the monsoon rains
(SPOT.ph) There was no typhoon, but the rain that poured down on Manila, as well as nearby provinces, paralyzed the city and put some areas on solid red alert. The Marikina River went past critical level, water had to be released from La Mesa Dam, and even the UERM and UST hospitals were flooded and had to call for help.
Valenzuela, Malabon, and Cainta have been put under a state of calamity. Evacuations are still ongoing.
Not that you needed any more remembering of an awfully wet Tuesday, but here are a few photos of Manila under water.
