P-Noy group’s helicopter forced to make emergency landing in Tarlac

InterAksyon.com reports that at 9 a.m. on Friday (August 10) "a sudden bout of bad weather forced a helicopter-with President Benigno Aquino III and his group-on board to make an emergency landing on the Luisita exit of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway."

InterAksyon.com reports that at 9 a.m. on Friday (August 10) "a sudden bout of bad weather forced a helicopter-with President Benigno Aquino III and his group-on board to make an emergency landing on the Luisita exit of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway." The report revealed that the president and his companions "were on their way to visit evacuation centers in the town of Paniqui.

 

The report noted that Aquino was accompanied by  Secretaries Ricky Carandang (Communications), Jose Rene Almendras (Energy), Dinky Soliman (Social Welfare) and Jesse Robredo (Interior). Also with the group were Joel Villanueva, director-general of the Tehnical Education and Skills Development Authority, and former Akbayan representative Risa Hontiveros. The report pointed out that Villanueva and Hontiveros "are touted to run for Senate under the administration ticket in next year’s elections."

 

Aquino and his group are scheduled to visit other flood-stricken areas.
