Mayen Jaymalin of The Philippine Star reports that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) "gave assurance that there is sufficient time to ’clean up’ the voters’ list in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)."
Â
The report quoted COMELEC Chairman Sixto Brillantes, who said that "the Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) need not worry that ARMM voters would not be cleansed in time for the next elections." He explained: "The Election Registration Board (ERB) hearings had been calendared already and we have enough time. We will be able to finish it."
