ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "actor Gerald Anderson and members of the Philippine Azkals have been named as among the National Peace Ambassadors of the country." They will officially be conferred the title during the launch of the "I am for Peace" campaign in Malacañang on Friday, September 14.
The "I am for Peace" campaign is "a major project of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP" and is part of the contry’s National Peace and Consciousness Month.
The report noted: "Other celebrities who will be named National Peace Ambassadors during the event on Friday, where President Aquino will be in attendance, are: actress Megan Young and actor Mikael Daez; social media personality Ramon Bautista; singer-songwriters Noel Cabangon and Ebe Dancel; Moro artist Datu Khomeini Bansuan; singers Christian Bautista, Karylle, Sam Concepcion, and Gloc-9; fashion designers Arnold Galang and JC Buendia, representing the Fashion Design Council of the Philippines; comedians Kiray and Igi Boy; TV host Rovilson Fernandez, Fil-Am rapper apl.de.ap, and Anne Curtis."
