₱4.6 billion released for 4 PH "priority airport projects"

Chichi Conde of InterAksyon.com reports that President Noynoy Aquino "has ordered the release of ₱4.6 billion to the Department of Transportation and Communications in order to beef up four priority airport projects under the administration's public-private partnership program."

 

The report noted: "Of the total amount, ₱1.64 billion will be used to rehabilitate Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for structural integrity and maintenance activities. At least ₱2 billion has been set aside for the New Legazpi Airport Development Project in Albay. Then, ₱800 million is set aside for the construction of a terminal building for the Tacloban Airport. The government also released ₱160 million for the Central Mindanao Airport."
