Sex doll mistaken for swimmer-in-distress gets "rescued" by Turkish divers

Reuters, via GMA News Online, reports that on Sunday, September 23, Turkey’s Milliyet newspaper reported that "Turkish rescue workers retrieved an inflatable sex doll from the Black Sea after police were notified by panicked residents who mistook it for a woman’s body floating offshore."

The report revealed: "Police cordoned off a wide stretch of beach in northern Samsun province. However, the team quickly discovered that the ’drowning woman’ was in fact a blow-up doll. They deflated it before they threw it in the garbage."

 

The report then noted: "It was not clear where the blow-up doll had came from. The Black Sea is a key tourism destination for Turks and also sees busy international maritime shipping traffic."
