ABS-CBNNews.com reports that indie film Busong, which is directed by Auraeus Solito (who had also directed Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros) "won the grand prize at the National Geographic All Roads Film Festival, which kicked off in Washington DC on Thursday, September 27." The report noted: "The one-and-a-half-hour long film tackles Palawan’s indigenous concept of busong, which means fate or instant karma." The report also quoted Solito’s explanation from previous interviews: "(The movie) tackles the three major issues in Palawan: illegal logging, mining, and dynamite fishing. It’s about three busongs." The movie had a special run at the Shangri-La Cineplex last April.
