Senator Jinggoy Estrada hints at running for vice president in 2016

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, who says his father former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada calls him his copycat, has hinted at emulating his father again, this time by running for vice president.

RG Cruz of ABS-CBNnews.com reports Senator Estrada hinted at running for higher office in the 2016 elections during the oath-taking of allies of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino.  Estrada said he has followed his father’s footsteps, by becoming San Juan City mayor, a senator, and a Best Actor awardee. According to the report, "he then noted his father was also elected vice-president. ’Kayo na lang bahala kung anong susunod dun,’ he said."

 

Estrada  added he would be "very, very honored" if Vice President Jejomar Binay, who is expected to run for president in 2016, picks him as his running mate.
