The bodies of two University of the Philippines Los Baños students were found decomposing in a natural pool in the Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve on Thursday.

InterAksyon.com reports the bodies of students Kevin Lagodon, a third-year BS Computer Science student, and Enzo Valdez, a third-year BS Nutrition student, were found in an area in the reserve that the UPLB community calls Flatrocks. Initial findings suggest they drowned since there was no evidence of foul play, the report said.

According to InterAksyon, the two had gone hiking on Sunday. Their bodies were found on Thursday afternoon by swimmers who noticed something smelling "really bad."

"The source said the students’ bodies were already bloated and were being eaten by freshwater crabs, and these bore red-black bruises all over their thighs, arms and back," the report said.
