52 supporters of Sulu sultan killed in Sabah, says Malaysian authorities

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that as of Thursday, March 7, Malaysia’s police chief Ismail Omar revealed that "52 supporters of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III have been killed since the standoff began over three weeks ago."

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that as of Thursday, March 7, Malaysia’s police chief Ismail Omar revealed that "52 supporters of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III have been killed since the standoff began over three weeks ago."

 

The report also noted: "Prime Minister Najib Razak flew to the region that same day (March 7) to inspect security operations." The report quoted the prime minister, who said, "I told President Aquino they (Kiram’s supporters) must lay down their arms immediately. They have to surrender their arms and they have to do it as soon as possible."
