Winners & Losers of the Week: Jessica Soho, Amanda Bynes + others
We list who got game and who got schooled.
(SPOT.ph) We list the personalities who experienced highs and lows this week. Admittedly, not all the winners may be ecstatic and not all the losers may be devastated. Life is complicated, folks. Remember: Don’t take everything literally and make sure to read between the lines...if you can find them. It’s up to you to guess when we mean what we say or when we’re putting on the snark. It keeps things interesting.
WINNER: Dr. Vicki Belo, for undertaking the mission of giving everyone-as long as they can afford it, of course-perfect underarms. (A very commendable endeavor, indeed!)
WINNER: James Yap, for being allowed to visit his son Bimby again. (But we expect more drama from his baby-mama.)
WINNER: Actress Yasmien Kurdi, 24, for being aghast over being asked to play 15-year-old Barbie Forteza’s mother. (By the time she’s 28, they’ll be asking her to play a grandma.)
WINNERS: Mark Escueta and Rico Blanco, for reconciling after not speaking to each other for years. (There’s nothing sweeter than post-reconciliation bromance.)
WINNER: Jessica Soho, for emphasizing to Vice Ganda (and everyone else) that rape is no laughing matter. (While you’re at it, please make sure that all TV networks won’t tolerate the use of rape as comic relief...even in gag shows. We can’t live in a bubble and only cry foul when our friend is affected.)
LOSER: Mike Tan, for revealing that he’s semi-vegetarian. (We’re all semi-vegetarian.)
LOSER: Liam Hemsworth, for calling off his engagement to Miley Cyrus. (How could you give her an "achy breaky heart"?)
LOSER: Amalia Fuentes, for resigning from the ABS-CBN teleserye Muling Buksan ang Puso due to "creative differences with the production team." (That may be a euphemism for, "They hated my guts and I hated them.")
LOSERS: Vice Ganda , for coming up with a disturbing joke and getting slammed for it. (Hopefully, he’ll stop those rape references now.)
LOSER: Amanda Bynes, for being accused of hurling drug paraphernalia out of her apartment window and for showing up in court in a crazy blonde wig. (Again, "Anyareeeeee?!")
