Bruno Mars’ mom dies of brain aneurysm

Nekesa Mumbi Moody of the Associated Press (AP), via Philstar.com, reports that the mother of Grammy-winning pop star Bruno Mars (real name Peter Gene Hernandez) died in Hawaii.

The report noted: "Filipina Bernadette Hernandez died Saturday of a brain aneurysm, according to a publicist for Mars’ label, Atlantic Records, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak on the record." The report added that Hernandez, who was only 55 years old, died at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu.
