Dan Brown’s Inferno is ranked No. 1 in National Book Store’s Bestseller List for May, sales got boost from controversy

What’s the sound of controversy? For Dan Brown and his novel, Inferno, it’s "Ka-ching!"

 

National Book Store purchasing director director Xandra Ramos-Padilla, revealed, "Inferno is number 1 for the NBS Bestseller list for the month of May." Though she didn’t divulge specific numbers, she added, "Sales increased by fifty percent after it was in the news because of the letter of the MMDA chairman. We expect it to outpace Brown’s previous book, Lost Symbol, within the month."
