Another teacher shot dead in Maguindanao, third teacher killed there this year

Dennis Arcon of InterAksyon.com reports that Lilian Pendatun, the school supervisor of the entire Maguindanao division of schools, died on Wednesday morning, June 19, "due to multiple gunshot wounds." Pendatun is the third teacher to be murdered in the province this year.

The report noted that last May, "Pendatun’s predecessor, former school supervisor Abas Minso, was also shot dead by unknown suspects a day before the May 13 elections." Prior to Minso's killing, the head teacher of Tuka Elementary School in Sultan Mastura was also gunned down by unidentified men.
