InterAksyon.com's Ben Arnold De Vera reports that cargo forwarder ASPAC Cargo, which serves Filipinos in Singapore, "has been blacklisted by the Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Shippers' Bureau (DTI-PSB) due to undelivered ’balikbayan’ boxes."
Â
The report explained that ASPAC Cargo and its local agent "were under investigation because of complaints pertaining to lost cargoes." Besides ASPAC Cargo, 45 other freight forwarders are included in the DTI-PSB's blacklist of foreign principals and consolidators.
Â
DTI-PSB advised Filipinos living overseas "to deal only with the 585 registered non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs) and international freight forwarders" when they are shipping items to the Philippines.
