InterAksyon.com reports that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has agreed to extend the registration of undocumented migrant workers, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) until November 3.

The report explained that the country's "Saudization program" was supposed to end on July 3 prior to the announcement of the king's order. The program requires all undocumented migrant workers to register for their stay in Saudi to be legalized.

In light of the extended registration, the Department of Foreign Affairs advised all undocumented Filipinos "to take advantage of this extension and immediately proceed to concerned Saudi government agencies or seek the assistance of our embassy and consulate in Saudi Arabia for their repatriation or the regularization of their status."
