Mayor Erap Estrada gives police 100 days to "clean up" Manila

Dharel Placido of ABS-CBNnews.com reports that Manila mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada has ordered the city’s new police chief to eliminate all criminals in the city within 100 days.

 

According to the report, Estrada told Supt. Isagani Genabe Jr. of the Manila City Police to round up all criminals in the city within the given time period or resign. The former president, who defeated Alfredo Lim in the recent polls, said his order to the police was part of his plan to improve the peace and order situation of Manila.

 

Aside from eliminating criminals, Estrada said he also wants to "fix Manila’s traffic and garbage problem in his first 100 days as mayor."
