Occupant of Two Serendra’s Unit 501-alleged as the origin of the blast-dies
The man who was temporarily staying there died after five weeks in the intensive care unit.
InterAksyon.com reports that Angelito San Juan, "the balikbayan who was occupying Unit 501 at Two Serendra when it was hit by an explosion triggered by an apparent gas leak last May 31 died early Thursday due to the injuries he suffered in the blast."
San Juan’s lawyer, Raymond Fortun, was quoted in the report as saying his client died of multiple organ failure at around 12:20 a.m. Fortun said San Juan, who has been in the intensive care unit of St. Luke’s Medical Center for five weeks, "had been in really critical condition and had to undergo dialysis and blood transfusion everyday." He also had to be put on a ventilator because he could not breathe properly on his own.
According to Fortun, San Juan’s body will be flown to the US after a two-day wake in Manila.
