PNP assigns food tasters to sample Janet Lim Napoles' meals to make sure she isn't poisoned
And they say she’s not getting any special treatment.
Jamie Marie Elona of Inquirer.net reports that the Philippine National Police (PNP) has assigned food tasters to sample the food given to Janet Lim Napoles inside Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna to ensure she will not be poisoned while she is in detention.
The report quoted Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP-Public Information Office chief, as saying that the food testers for Napoles will be the detention facility's designated cook and her two guards from the Special Action Force. According to Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, the controversial businesswoman's food will be the same as those given to trainees inside the camp.
For Monday, September 2, Napoles had "ham, egg and rice for breakfast, boneless bangus, rice and banana for lunch, and pinakbet and rice for dinner." It was said in earlier reports that Napoles' daily meal budget at Fort Sto. Domingo is P115.
