Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol suspended by UAAP Board for his outburst vs. La Salle fan
The punishment is even worse for the fan.
Camille B. Naredo of ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "the UAAP Board has suspended Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol for one game following his near-altercation with a fan after the Blue Eagles’ loss to De La Salle last Sunday, September 1."
The report quoted UAAP Board Secretary-Treasurer Malou Isip, who said, "The board discussed his behavior, so we decided to give him a one-game suspension, effectively immediately. He will be suspended during their game against UE (University of the East) on September 8. The mission and vision of the UAAP is to promote sportsmanship and we want to be consistent on that. The players, the coaches, and the officials should observe good behavior."
The report also revealed: "The fan who heckled Perasol, identified as La Salle alumnus JJ Atayde, has been banned from attending basketball games for the rest of the UAAP season."
