Winners & Losers of the Week: Vin Diesel, Rosanna Roces + others

We list who got it and who didn’t.

(SPOT.ph)
We list the personalities who experienced highs and lows this week. Admittedly, not all the winners may be ecstatic and not all the losers may be devastated. Life is complicated, folks. Remember: Don’t take everything literally and make sure to read between the lines...if you can find them. It’s up to you to guess when we mean what we say or when we’re putting on the snark. It keeps things interesting.

WINNER: Cristine Reyes, for changing her Twitter username to @QueenCKRamsay. (We’re royally impressed with your optimism, girl.)

WINNER: Eugene Domingo, who, when asked about the status of her love life, replied, "Status lang! Walang complicated, walang kung anuman-basta status lang." (Now, that’s an original answer.)

WINNERS: The men of Quezon City, for being tagged by Traveler’s Digest as one of the world’s "Cities with the Best Looking Men" (One question: "Where the hell are they?")

WINNERS: Sandara Park and Jollibee, for looking cute together. (You gotta appreciate a Korean girl who still goes for Pinoy fastood even when she’s in New York.)

WINNER: Vin Diesel, for being such a big fan of the Philippines that he probably convinced the producers of XXX: The Return of Xander Cage to shoot here. (We need all the fans we can get.)

LOSER: Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, for not being able to enjoy the fact that people called him, "Sexy." (If only it didn’t come with a damning testimony from pork barrel scam whistlelower Benhur Luy.)

LOSERS: Claudine Barretto, for being sued for theft by her former personal assistant/maid. (How does it feel?)

LOSER: Zac Efron, for being hooked on cocaine. (Why can’t these Hollywood stars just get addicted to peanut butter or something?) [Screenshot of image from TMZ.com]

LOSERS: The Freedom of Information Bill, for still not getting any progress. (If orange is the new black, then the FOI is the new RH.)

LOSER: Rosanna Roces, for being found guilty of breaching her contract as the host of GMA’s StarTalk back in 2004. (The court is ordering her to pay the network P2 million for damages...which would not be too much of a problem if she could still afford it.)
