MMDA lifts number coding scheme on Monday, September 23 due to heavy rains; But coding still allegedly in effect in Makati
It’s a very rainy Monday once more.
Jamie Elona of Inquirer.net reports that the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the number coding scheme for Monday, September 23, because of the bad weather.
The report explained that the lifting of the coding rule will also apply to the city of Pasay, but that Makati City authorities has yet to respond if they will do the same. "If the number rule wasn't lifted, vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 would not be allowed in major thoroughfares of Metro Manila," the article said.
However, an InterAksyon.com report clarified that coding is still in effects in Makati.
