MTRCB seeks meeting with Unang Hirit management over Arnold Clavio's on-air tirade
We hope something good comes out of it.
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has set a November 11 meeting with the management of GMA-7's morning show, Unang Hirit over host Arnold Clavio's on-air outburst while interviewing lawyer Alfredo Villamor.
The report noted: "MTRCB chairperson Atty. Eugenio Villareal, speaking with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual on Wednesday (November 6), said the hearing was prompted by a monitoring report of the agency’s deputies, as well as by online reactions to the interview." In the program's November 5 telecast, Clavio was perceived as "rude" and "impatient" by viewers who saw how he spoke to Villamor during a phone interview regarding the issues surrounding the plunder case of businesswoman Janet Napoles.
On Thursday (November 7). Clavio issued an on-air apology for his tirade and asked for the public's understanding regarding his actions.
