Miss Universe 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida foregoes motorcade welcome to focus on helping Typhoon Yolanda victims
She knows her priorities.
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner up Ariella Arida has chosen not to fuss over the motorcade parade traditionally organized to welcome beauty queens like her and devote her time instead to planning concrete ways to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda.
According to the report, Arida said in an interview on Wednesday (November 13) that she and her handlers have not yet talked about organizing a motorcade for her in light of the dire situation faced by thousands of Filipinos affected by the storm. Her schedule for the week instead includes volunteering in the relief operations of ABS-CBN Foundation's Sagip Kapamilya on Thursday (November 14).
Arida said she is also "planning to celebrate her 25th birthday on November 20 through charity work."
