Charice Pempengco dismisses allegations that she tried to commit suicide
The crazy thing is, her own grandmother started the alleged rumor.
ABS-CBNnews.com reports that singer Charice Pempengco on Tuesday, December 10, denied her maternal grandmother Teresita Relucio’s allegation that she recently attempted to kill herself because of her financial troubles. Relucio made the revelation during her televised interview last week with host Cristy Fermin on the TV5 program Showbiz Police.
The report noted: "In a statement given to ABS-CBN News through her manager Glenn Aldueza, the 21-year-old singer said there is no truth to her grandmother’s accusation that she slashed her wrists over her alleged bankruptcy."
"Mahal ko po ang buhay ko, lalo pa nga’t malaya ko nang naipapahayag ang totoong ako. At mayroon pa rin po akong naitatagong pera (I love my life, especially now that I’m free to be my real self. And I have money saved)," Pempengco disclosed.
Pempengco, who revealed that she was lesbian earlier this year, is still dealing with her family’s seeming reluctance to accept her for who she is. She is in a relationship with Alyssa Quijano.
