Temperature in Metro Manila dips to 15.8 degrees Celsius

The Philippine News Agency reports (via InterAksyon.com) that "the temperature in Metro Manila on Sunday morning (January 26) dropped to 15.8 degrees Celsius," the coldest morning temperature that PAGASA has recorded in the metropolis.
According to the report, the temperature in Metro Manila "dipped to 15.8 degrees Celsius at 4:50 a.m., lower than the 16.9 degrees Celsius in the morning of January 25 and 17.5 degrees Celsius recorded on January 18." PAGASA recorded the coldest days in Metro Manila on February 4, 1987 and December 30, 1988, when the temperature dipped to 15.1 degrees Celsius.
Pagasa weather forecaster Manny Mendoza said the country will continue experiencing cooler temperatures "until the end of February, when the northeast monsoon or hanging amihan ends."
