2 buses collide in Camarines Sur, 5 dead
It’s yet another accident involving buses.
ABS-CBNnews.com reports that "five people died when two buses collided at a highway in Libmanan, Camarines Sur on Sunday morning, February 16."
The report noted: "A One Antonina bus line bound for Metro Manila collided into the Elavil bus, which was headed south along Maharlika Highway at Barangay Mambulo Nuevo." Among the casualties were bus drivers Christopher Maquiniana and Elbor Bon, bus conductor Orlando Oli, passenger Marvin Ablay, and another still unidentified male passenger.
Those injured were brought to the Bicol Medical Center and Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City. Initial reports say that "the One Antonina bus swerved to the opposite lane after the driver lost control of the vehicle."
The investigation is ongoing.
