GMA News Online reports that "reigning Miss Universe Maria Gabriela Isler will arrive in the Philippines this week to help out with ongoing relief operations in areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda and to grace the Bb. Pilipinas pageant."
The report, which was based on a statement posted on the Binibing Pilipinas’ website on Monday, said Isler is also set visit Palawan with Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart this coming Friday (March 28). After this, she will grace the Bb. Pilipinas grand coronation night on Sunday, March 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The 26-year-old Isler was crowned Miss Universe last year in Moscow, Russia. Ariella Arida, the Philippines' representative to the pageant, finished third runner-up.
