Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado travel to Holy Land to seek "divine intervention"
They’re going for the Big Guns.
ANC reports that Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. confirmed in an interview with radio dzRB that Senator Bong Revilla and Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla are now in Israel.
Coloma explained that "they were able to get authority from the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives." Revilla and his family left for Israel on Saturday, March 29. They are expected to stay there until Holy Week.
Revilla said in earlier reports that he and his family were headed to the Holy Land, "to seek divine intervention" amid the issues they are embroiled in. Revilla, if you must be reminded, is one of the lawmakers accused of making deals with alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.
Revilla has denied the allegations.
