Come out, come out, wherever you are: Deniece Cornejo’s granduncle asks her to surrender
"Lolo" knows best.
On Sunday, May 4, Buzz ng Bayan read on air a statement that was reportedly sent to them by Rod Cornejo, the granduncle of model Deniece Cornejo.
The model, who accused actor Vhong Navarro of rape, is now a fugitive. A warrant for her arrest has been issued for the non-bailable serious illegal detention charge filed against her by Navarro. Deniece had also been charged with grave coercion, but she had posted the P12,000 bail for it.
In his statement, Deniece’s granduncle said, "I believe Deniece is telling the truth. Because of this I believe she should immediately submit herself to the authorities and trust the judicial system to determine the truth once and for all."
Deniece’s granduncle also added, "I, therefore, appeal to your viewers to withhold their judgement and allow the process to determine the truth, the truth that sets one free."
Meanwhile, an ABS-CBNnews.com report said that Deniece has already sent "surrender feelers" to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Deniece’s granduncle is a former GMA-7 executive. She reportedly addresses him as "lolo."
