Vice President Binay accused of plunder
Will this hurt his bid for the presidency?
Two registered voters from Makati filed a plunder complaint against Vice President Jejomar Binay and other Makati officials on July 22, Tuesday.
According to a report published by Inquirer.net, Renato Bondal and Nicholas Enciso VI submitted a nine-page complaint-affidavit against Binay and other officials, accusing them of being behind the overpricing of a new parking building along F. Zobel Street back in 2007.
Based on the data from the National Statistics Office, Bondal and Enciso estimated that P1.56 billion structure could have been built for only P245.6 million.
