Death threats for dessert: Edu Manzano receives anonymous cautionary texts

The messages are linked to former OMB Chairperson Ronnie Ricketts

While we weren’t looking, actor Edu Manzano apparently acquired a few unexplained haters. ABS-CBN News reported on Wednesday (September 10) that Manzano took to Twitter to clarify (in three parts) that he had nothing to do with the suspension of former Optical Media Board (OMB) Chairperson Ronnie Ricketts. This is after he shared a passive-aggressive message he received, linking him to the lay-off:

- Edu Manzano (@RealEduManzano) September 8, 2014

Ronnie Ricketts was suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman last week (September 5) in connection with a raid conducted by the OMB on May 27, 2010.

Manzano served as the OMB Chairperson from 2004 to 2009.
