Explosions? Plane crash? Alone out at sea? Wartime drama? Races? Soaring music? Shaking while crying? It looks like Unbroken, Angelina Jolie’s second effort as a director, has all the makings of an epic drama...including the "inspired by true events" tag.
Jack O’Connell stars as Louis "Louie" Zamperini, a war hero and Olympian, who survived on a raft for 47 days-only to be found and held captive by Japanese soldiers. We have a feeling that this will be difficult to watch. Still, the film strives to pull on heartstrings by showing the resilience of the human spirit.
Unbroken also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Miyavi, Garrett Hedlund, and Finn Wittrock. Unfortunately, we all have to wait until February 2015 to watch it.
