Interesting neighbors? Casino giant Caesars Palace wants to make that happen. On Tuesday, ABS-CBN News reported that the corporation wants to build an integrated entertainment center next to Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2. Estimated cost? About US$1.5 billion.
According to the report, the proximity to NAIA motivated Caesars Palace to offer a redesign. This includes a new control tower and additional high-speed exits for planes. Caesars Palace President for International Development Steven Tight said that they would be bringing in foreign experts to help with the project.
"Macau blossomed into a behemoth because it allowed all the major global players to operate there. Each operator spent huge sums to market Macau. It will be the same with the Philippines, which actually has more to offer and should be a better destination," Tight said.
