Winners of the Cinema One Originals Festival 2014 announced
Dodo Dayao and Kanakan Balintagos take the top prizes
Horror beats romance in this year’s Cinema One Originals Festival (promoted with a pun, #inTENse) with Violator winning Best Film. The Angelica Panganiban starrer That Thing Called Tadhana received the Audience Choice award, but ultimately, it was Dodo Dayao’s eerie imagery that won the vote of the jury members (Angeli Bayani, Erik Matti, Paolo Bertolin, Richard Bolisay, Benjamin Illos, and Tito Genova Valiente).

Meanwhile, Kanakan Balintagos (formerly known as Auraeus Solito) bagged the Best Director trophy and his film, Esprit de Corps, went on to win two more awards.
