Three justices have excused themselves from Senator Jinggoy Estrada’s plunder case

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Monday (December 15) that Division Chair Associate Justice Roland Jurado, and members Associate Justices Alexander Gesmundo and Ma. Theresa Dolores Gomez-Estoesta have inhibited themselves from the plunder and graft charges of Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
According to the report, the three justices cited "personal reasons" in the letter submitted to Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang. The division was previously presiding over the bail proceedings for Senator Estrada in relation to his alleged misuse of public funds, as revealed by Benhur Luy.
