Mayor Joseph Estrada: "I want to retire while I can still make love"
Knowledge is power. Just keep sucking the information.
After the update on P-Noy’s love life on Monday, let’s turn our attention to Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada. Neal H. Cruz wrote for the Philippine Daily Inquirer about the former president’s plans in the future and they talked about important matters, such as Mayor Estrada’s stronger bond to the late Fernando Poe Jr.
The Mayor said that should Senator Grace Poe decide to run, he would choose to campaign for her and not his good friend Vice President Jejomar Binay. That’s all well and good, but the conversation got more interesting when Erap shared his admiration for the late Ronald Reagan.
Cruz asked Mayor Estrada if he has plans to run for president in 2016 and Estrada was quick to dismiss the notion, saying that he is old. He added, "My idol is President Ronald Reagan. He was a grade B movie actor but he became president of the United States, the most powerful nation in the world. If a grade B movie actor like him can be president, why not a grade A actor like me, I asked myself. So I ran for president and won."
He continued, in jest, "Reagan said, 'I want to retire while I can still carry my luggage.' Me, I want to retire while I can still make love."
Mayor Estrada is 76 years old.
