P30 million needed to finish facilities that will prevent more recording studios in New Bilibid Prison

Fight money with money

InterAkyson reported on Thursday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is asking the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for funds to finish renovations on Building 14. Upon completion, the building was supposed to be the new confinement for all the high-risk inmates. However, due to budget constraints, construction has been halted.

The follow up on the request was prompted after a surprise inspection revealed interesting items inside prison cells, such as sex toys and what seems like a recording studio and mini, indoor concert grounds. The high-profile inmates from said rooms have been temporarily placed in a National Bureau of Investigation detention facility and will be transferred to Building 14, if or when it is completed.
