It’s Princess Sarah and Becky! Or in this case, Ang Pulubi at Ang Prinsesa. Camille Prats made ’90s kids go "aww" when she posted this cute throwback to her childstar days with her "sis" Angelica Panganiban. In her caption, Prats congratulated Panganiban for her recent achievements as an actor and said, "Isa ka sa mga artista sa industriya na binibigyan ng halaga ang trabaho." She also hinted at a possible project in the future: "Alam ko darating ang araw na magkakatrabaho tayo ulit."
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court "denied with finality" the appeal of ER Ejercito to have his disqualification over election campaign overspending overturned, making his ousting as Laguna governor permanent. Ejercito was found to have spent P23.56 million, well beyond the allowed P4.57 million.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has traced where the viral Special Action Force (SAF) video originated. Vic Lorenzo, executive officer of the agency's Anti-Cybercrime Division, said NBI agents tracked down the owner of the cell phones, and that the owner admitted uploading the video but claimed he did not know where it came from or who took the video. The owner also called himself an "informal businessman," and unaffiliated with any organization.
Despite the Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s (MILF) urging Congress to pass the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) with "no changes," the Palace is expecting the group to recognize possible revisions. Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said the legislative branch has the power to amend bills, and that this "must be respected by both the MILF and the Philippine government."
As of Tuesday, President Benigno Aquino III is still choosing a replacement for resigned Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Alan Purisima. According to Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, Aquino will discuss Purisima’s possible replacement with Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas. He also said the two will "take into consideration the impending retirement" of PNP officer-in-charge Leonardo Espina.
As retribution for the "poor, defenseless houses" that Justin Bieber egged in 2014, Comedy Central is turning the tables and throwing eggs at the singer. The clip is a promo for the much-anticipated Comedy Central roast, which will put Bieber in the hot seat as comedians take turns poking fun at the pop star.
It’s also painless! According to Mental Floss, Alex Falkenham has developed a cream that will "carry the color" of the tattoo away from the skin’s surface. It isn’t being produced yet and is likely to be subject to more testing, but Falkenham’s research indicates that it’ll be both cheaper and safer than using lasers.
The Metro Manila Development Authority announced via Twitter that number coding is lifted tomorrow, February 19 (including Las Piñas and Makati).
