(SPOT.ph) Thinking of making a career jump to the big leagues? Why not check out the eight Philippine companies on Forbes’ World’s Best Employers 2026 list? These companies ranked among the top workplaces based on employee responses about work-life balance, career growth, reputation, and compensation.

Powerhouse San Miguel Corporation jumped a whopping 26 places from 42nd in 2025 to 16th this year, making it the highest-ranked Philippine company on the list. Ayala Corporation follows at a large distance at 80th globally, a notable improvement from 139th in 2025.

Banking and financial services companies Metropolitan Bank and Trust and LT Group, which holds a major stake in Philippine National Bank, ranked 142nd and 192nd, respectively.

At 238th place is JG Summit Holdings, the conglomerate behind companies like Universal Robina Corporation and Cebu Pacific.

On the food and beverage side, Century Pacific Group is 261st, with fast-food giant Jollibee Foods landing at 384th. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank rounds out the list of eight at 458th.

Which Philippine companies made the list?

The 2026 list was based on results from an independent survey Forbes organized with Statista, which gathered responses from more than 300,000 employees in more than 50 countries. Employees were asked to rate how much they’d recommend their employer to friends and family.

Scores were then computed alongside data from the previous three years, with greater weight given to more recent responses and evaluations from current employees, resulting in the final list.

The Philippine companies and their rankings are as follows:

  1. San Miguel - #16

  2. Ayala Corporation - #80

  3. Metropolitan Bank and Trust - #142

  4. LT Group - #192

  5. JG Summit Holdings - #238

  6. Century Pacific Group - #261

  7. Jollibee Foods - #384

  8. BDO Unibank - #458

The Forbes World’s Best Employers 2026 ranking comes as employee dissatisfaction grows worldwide. According to a global study by Gallup, only 20% of employees say they feel engaged at work, while 40% say they experience significant daily stress.

Locally, though, the Philippines ranks second in Asia-Pacific on happiness in the workplace, even as stress, burnout, and concerns over artificial intelligence remain among the issues weighing on Filipino workers, according to JobStreet by SEEK.
