Star City to Reopen on Jan. 14 After Two-Year Closure

Star City will reopen on Jan. 14, more than two years after a huge fire gutted the family favorite amusement park, management said Wednesday.

Tickets for the soft opening will sell for P400 each, initially available at the gates, with online selling to be offered soon, Star City said.

"The long wait is finally over! Star City will be reopening this January 14, 2022!" it said.

The park will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, according to the announcement.

A fire that was blamed on faulty electrical wiring damaged some 80% of Star City in October 2019 and resulted in losses of P1 billion.
