(UPDATE) A Magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Sunday morning, Phivolcs said.
The quake occurred at 10:02 a.m. off the coast of Jose Abad Santos town with a depth of 128 kilometers. Phivolcs said there are no expected damages from the earthquake but aftershocks are probable.

Intensity II was reported in General Santos City. This means the earthquake was felt by few individuals at rest indoors. Hanging objects also may have swung slightly.
Instrumental Intensity I was also recorded in Kiamba, Saranggani, which means the quake was "perceptible to people under favorable circumstances."
