Metro Manila Number Coding Suspended on Sept. 26 Due to Karding
Number coding is suspended in Metro Manila on Monday, Sept. 26, as Super Typhoon Karding (international name Noru) threatens the capital region, the MMDA said Sunday.
This means that vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 may travel on Metro Manila roads during the coding hours on Monday.
The suspension of the number coding scheme was made upon the directive of MMDA Acting Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III in anticipation of inclement weather due to the storm.

The northern portion of Metro Manila, which includes Marikina, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, and Quezon City, is currently under Signal No. 4, while the rest of the region is under Signal No. 3 due to Karding.
Heavy to intense with at times torrential rains are expected on Sunday afternoon through early Monday morning over Metro Manila and nearby provinces, according to PAGASA.
Karding is forecast to track generally westward in the next six to 12 hours, then west northwestward for the remainder of the day, the state weather bureau said.
It will then pass over Central Luzon and emerge over the West Philippine Sea over the coastal waters of Zambales or Pangasinan. The typhoon will then continue moving westward over the West Philippine Sea for the remainder of the forecast period, it added.
