What's Inside DOH's COVID Care 'Kalinga' Kits?

The Department of Health on Tuesday said it would provide COVID-19 home care kits to families in quarantine or isolation, as the omicron variant drives the fastest surge since the start of the pandemic in 2020..

The DOH's "Kalinga" Kits will be given to vulnerable families or individuals with mild COVID-19 cases, Health Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire told reporters.

"Ipapatupad natin sa lalong madaling panahon, ginagawan lang po natin nang maayos na guidelines," Vergeire said.

What's inside the DOH care kits?

  • 10 tablets of paracetamol
  • 1 pack of Vitamin C
  • 1 pack of carbocisteine
  • 2 packs of face masks (20 pieces in total)
  • 2 soap bars
  • 1 alcogel
  • 1 disinfectant spray
  • 1 tip sheet

The DOH partnered with P&G, UNILAB and the WHO for the kits, said Vergeire. "The kits will be upgraded as the DOH continues to collaborate with the private sector to source more materials," she said.
