(SPOT.ph) Unless you've been living under a rock, you and/or your friends' event calendars on Facebook are probably already packed with, er, interesting events this summer. It all started when a ridiculous event called "Suntukan Sa Ace Hardware" randomly appeared on your newsfeed. Out of curiosity, you check it out and find that at least 10 of your friends are "interested" or "going." We're unsure how and why it went viral, but the Internet is a place where things like this happen and we just...ride with it.
The event became so successful that other Internet-dwellers decided to create even more ridiculous events. We list 10 that you shouldn't miss.
Note: These events should not be taken seriously. This is The Internet, after all.
When: April 9, Saturday, at 12 p.m. onwards
Where: Ace Water Spa, Hotel and Suites, Pasig City
Why you should go: Now that it's officially the summer season, nothing sounds better than having one big rambol session in a water spa! De-stress by participating in suntukan while enjoying hot herbal pools. Ahhh, relaxation.
When: April 13, Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 8:05 a.m.
Where: All 7-Eleven branches nationwide
Why you should go: It's like winning a five-minute shopping spree and why would anyone want to miss out on that? Just bring your own bags and plastic bags. The only rule? "Bawal ang mga taong walang sense of humor dito!"
When: April 15, Friday, at 3 p.m. onwards
Where: Booksale, SM City Manila Concepcion corner Arroceros and San Marcelino Street, Manila
Why you should go: We're not sure what "landian" here means (does it mean cute bonding slash flirting over good books or...other things?), but it sounds like you just might find your forever here!
When: April 15, Friday, at 4 p.m. onwards
Where: Morayta, Calle Morayta (Nicanor Reyes Street), Sampaloc, Manila
Why you should go: If you love siomai, this is the perfect event for you. You may or may not participate in the throwing of dim sum (pretty rude, if you ask us), but one thing's for sure: no one's going to stop you from catching the flying siomais and eating them. Bring your own chili sauce and toyo-mansi!
Conyohan Sa Starbucks Vito Cruz
When: April 15 to 16, Friday to Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Starbucks, Torre Lorenzo Plaza, Vito Cruz, Pasay City
Why you should go: After a wild Happy Thursday, you wake up and head to Starbucks because Starbucks is life. It's a place where you can make kwento and make tambay with your conyo friends without getting judged—because it's a conyo event where you can all embrace your conyo-ness! Just make your kuya driver ikot around to park the car.
When: April 16, Saturday, at 8 a.m. onwards
Where: New Bilibid Prison, Sampaguita Road, Muntinlupa City
Why you should go: If you're into blood and gore, you wouldn't want to miss out on this bloodshed. There's only one rule: Bawal umuwi nang buhay.
Magpaplantsa ng Damit sa UST Grand Stand open field
When: April 16, Saturday, at 1 p.m. onwards
Where: UST Field, Sampaloc, Manila
Why you should go: There's nothing like one big clothes-ironing event! Bring your own kabayo and iron away with your fellow domesticated pals. We're all in this together, guys!
When: April 20, Wednesday, 6:09 p.m. to 9:09 p.m.
Where: Malacañang Palace, Manila
Why you should go: Sometimes, you just need to let out all your frustrations—and this is the day to do it. Who will you punch first?
When: April 30, Saturday, at 10 p.m. onwards
Where: SOGO Hotel, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City
Why you should go: Because you're a responsible student who wants to do some advance studying (or a baby thesis) during the summer break! Your parents would be so proud.
Dota o Ako, Hiwalayan sa Manila Majors, SM MOA Arena
When: June 12, Sunday, at 10 a.m. onwards
Where: Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City
Why you should go: This is it. The day couples gather together in one event where they all get to ask each other "Dota o ako?" There might not be any happy endings, but at least you wouldn't be the only one crying over your breakup...
