"North vs South" trends on Twitter and the East has had enough

It all started with one hugot tweet.

(SPOT.ph) Metro Manila has always been divided into north and south, or that's what people think. Southerners (those who live in Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and Parañaque) complain about Northerners (those who live in Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, et cetera) never exerting effort to drive all the way to the south. Northerners, on the other hand, claim that the north is just more happening than the opposite end of the city.

This debate never ends and the argument started all over again on Twitter on April 6 early in the afternoon. The culprit? Apparently one tweet by user @MillennialOfMNL: "Mas masarap magmahal ang mga taga-South." As expected, people chimed in to defend their fort and “North vs South” immediately trended.

In the spirit of equality and zero tolerance for bias, let's hear it from both sides.

South represent!

North represent!

Meanwhile, those living on the east side want to join in on the fun, too:

In the end, one Twitter user argues that it’s really not North versus South. He has a point.

Also this. Case closed!
