(SPOT.ph) Prizes and praises have been pouring in for weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz ever since she struck gold at the Tokyo Olympics on July 26—the first to do so in Philippine Olympic history! As of writing, plenty of companies, brands, and even individuals have announced that they will be giving Diaz major perks and rewards. All totally well-deserved. But it seems one brand has had enough of all the other brands suddenly taking notice of the national athlete.

Enter Orocan's erm, different kind of greeting for the Olympian. The plastic product manufacturer posted their congratulatory greeting for Diaz on July 28. Now what makes their greeting extraordinary isn't an amazing prize of sorts, but an absolute scathing call-out to other brands. Check it out.

This isn't an "Ay, na-post" moment; Orocan knows what it's doing. "'Wag na tayong magplastikan," it said in big red letters. Their greeting for Diaz can be found in the caption, which states "Maraming salamat sa pagbuhat mo sa Pilipinas!" and then gives us major side-eye by adding "Sa 'ting mga brands...nagtatanong at nagpapakatotoo lang."

Diaz's road to Olympic gold has not been an easy one. As Orocan referenced in their call-out, Diaz's multiple calls for better athlete support have often landed on deaf ears—or were met with worse things. This change in the tides—as started by Diaz's triumph—will hopefully inspire a permanent change.

Orocan's post has also given us an absolute goldmine of a comments section. This isn't the first-time their social media antics and ad campaigns—as led by creative ad agency GIGIL—has made us laugh, either. Remember Ms. Hurt? Well it seems this time though, the laughs are coming from the commenters.  At the end of the day, let's not forget to show all our athletes the support they deserve!
