Angel Locsin came under fire after making a "racist" comment againt Floyd Mayweather on Sunday. She tweeted, "Lugi naman kasi tayo eh. Hindi natin makita kung may black eye na si Mayweather." When people quickly called her out, she defended her statement, saying, "Kung fair ang skin at sinabihan ko ng 'lugi tayo at hindi makita ang an-an nya sa sobrang puti,' racist comment rin? Baka kayo ang may issue."
Esquire Philippines has dubbed broadcast journalist Karen Davila as the "Sexiest Woman Alive" in their May 2015 issue. The magazine's cover features Davila supposedly laughing as a reaction to her new title. She also said she was celebrating the recognition "with all empowered women."
Rumors are swirling that Miss Philippines Earth 2009 Sandra Seifert is pregnant with Cesar Montano's baby, despite the latter previously denying they were seeing each other. R&B singer Chris Brown has been accused of punching a man during a basketball game in Las Vegas. Local police tagged Brown after the victim reported the incident from the hospital where he was being treated for injuries. Brown reportedly left the scene by the time authorities arrived.
Kensington Palace announced Monday that the newborn daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her grandmother, the late Princess Diana. The baby, who is fourth in line to the throne, will be formally known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
